WWW Wednesday | 18 March 2020

This is my first meme ever since I started blogging. What prompted me to do so? Well, I’ve been thinking about it a lot. Now seems the right time to begin since blogging takes my mind off a lot of things ( the news, the social media and the – you know – thousand what-if scenarios which my sister likes to call “Netflix dystopian show-induced nerd paranoia” . Oh dear, let’s not go there. We are here to talk about the Wednesday meme. WWW Wednesday meme was hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm  . It is now revived by Taking on a World of Words.

If you are not aware of the meme, it is a simple one. All you have to do is answer the Ws in a reader’s life.

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

And then link the host’s blog to your post and if possible leave a comment in theirs.

So, without any delay here we go,

1. What are you currently reading?

Currently I am reading two books actually. One is a Kindle version and the other one is an audiobook.

The e-Book is A Game of Chess by John Simes. It is a science fiction/thriller book. I got the copy from Booktasters in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book of the Dream Factory series. I have read the first and enjoyed the style and the symbolism in the book. It was unique and completely unexpected. The second however, shifted into a normal action thriller. It is fun so far but it doesn’t stand out like the first one. Perhaps I expected too much.

The second book that I am listening to right now is The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa. Adult contemporary romance/Chic-lit kind of books are my favorite. This one fits right into the bill and I am loving it. The characters, the diversity and fun plot – all that is making it a perfect entertainer so far. Let’s see how it ends.

2. What did you recently finish reading?

A book I recently finished reading will be This Won’t End Well by Camille Pagan. It was a NetGalley e-ARC. I didn’t expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. This again is a women’s fiction book. I have already posted a detailed review of the book. So, you can check it out if you want to know more about it.

3. What do you think you’ll read next?

The next book that I’ll be reading is most probably An Anonymous Girl by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. March is the month where I planned to focus more on thrillers ( without even realizing that real life will become stranger than a thriller. ) An Anonymous Girl has mixed reviews in general. People who didn’t like the book really hated it. It’s this extreme opinion scenario.

I bought it mainly because of the unique synopsis. This is a psychological thriller. A woman signs up for a psychological experiment to make some quick cash. And then things take a darker turn from there. Soon fiction and fact mix up, that kind of thing. I don’t know how that can go wrong. Fingers crossed.

So, those are the three Ws in my life right now. Hope you enjoyed this one. Do let me know your thoughts if you’ve already read any of these books or if you’re planning to read any of these books in the comments.
