The Sunday Post | 12 Feb 2023

Dear Bookbugs,

It is time for another Sunday post. The Sunday Post is a book meme hosted by Kimberley @CaffeinatedReviewer. It is a roundup of all things bookish or otherwise that you wish to share with your fellow readers.

In my previous post, I talked about joining a book club. Turns out it is happening. It is a very low-key book club with some very close and supportive online friends that I’ve met in the bookish community. My travel plans are still hypothetical but I guess I will figure out something before the end of the year.

I am reading a few romance reads for February. So far, I am enjoying it all. All these books have the most out-of-the-box concepts and I am having fun with it.

Here is me giving you a quick update on the previous week and things to look forward to in the coming week:

Review of the Week

Review of the Week is the section where I feature a review from a fellow book blogger that has caught my eye. Today I have a review by Dedra from A Book Wanderer for the book Hello Stranger by Katherine Center. Her review is honest and personal which I find very relatable. She talks about how expect more from the authors that we love too much.

Series of the Week

I have never played the game but I binged the first four episodes of the series last week and it is the beginning of a great show. I get the hype around the game and I honestly hope that the series lives up to it.

The Baker’s Man is a contemporary romance with a significant hint of magic. We follow a pastry chef Anna who runs her grandmother’s bakery to keep up the legacy after putting her own dreams on hold. When Anna accidentally bakes her grandmother’s recipe to make “your perfect man”, Elijah appears in her life out of nowhere. Anna has to deal with the consequences of her actions and manage her growing feelings toward Elijah.

This is such an outrageous plot that I just cannot wait to see how it all ties up in the end. Will update my review once I finish it.

With that, we have reached the end of another Sunday Post. Hope you enjoyed this week’s updates. Let me know your thoughts in the comments section.

Happy Reading Everyone!!

I hope you like Hello Stranger. The premise sounds promising. You too, have a great week.

  2. I joined a book club last week too! Our first meeting is tomorrow. I don’t know anybody in the club, and they mostly read self-help books, so it’ll be interesting.
