Christmas reads for Bookbugs
Dear bookbugs,
This is the second day of Bookbug’s blogmas. As you are aware, December is going to be full of Christmas books. Today I am going to share all my Christmas TBRs. The Holiday readathon #tistheseasonathon begins tomorrow. So I am sharing the books that I am going to read for the readathon as well as the rest of the month. This is going to be a Christmas overload people.
Hop in and go through the list. I can’t wait to read them all.
Bookbug’s December 2018 TBR :
- Christmas at Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan
I am going to listen to the audiobook in Scribd. This is my first Jenny Colgan book. It has a lovely cover and the title sounds interesting enough. I think that is the right way to begin your blogmas reads and get into the spirit of the season.
- A Very Lucky Christmas by Lilac Mills
I am hoping this is the story with the touch of a “Destiny” “Fate” elements by the title. This is a NetGalley eARC. What would be a better time to read a book that has the power of a greater force than this?
- The Christmas Forest by Rebecca Boxall
To be honest, I started reading this book yesterday and then realized it is a novella. So now I am thinking this would be my other book for #tistheseasonathon.
- A Timeless Christmas by Alexis Stanton
I love time travel stories. They are so surreal and fascinating. A love story in the time of Christmas involving time travel. I am sold. Another eARC from NetGalley that I can’t wait to get my hands on.
- Silent Days Holy Night by Phillis Clark Nichols
Every time I read the title somewhere in my brain “Silent Night” hums begin. I went through the reviews of the book and everyone was praising the Christmas spirit involved in the book. Eager to read this one too. I have a NetGalley eARC for this one as well.
Don’t judge. I went on a requesting spree on NetGalley and most of them got accepted.
- Christmas At The Beach Café by Lucy Diamond
After going for Little Beach Street Bakery, Scribd started showing me all these Café, Bakery stories. This one I couldn’t resist for some reason. Another audiobook, I hope I could finish by the end of December.
- Blue Christmas by Mary Kay Andrews
Alright, do I need to explain why I chose this? The title is so intriguing that I have to find out what this book is all about. It is a Savannah-based Christmas story. A new culture and a very different Christmas read that I am planning to listen to and acquaint myself this month.
- The Spring Girls by Anna Todd
This is a retelling of Little Women, the classic. Christmas isn’t Christmas without Little Women! So I am planning to read it this month itself. Actually, listen because this is again an audiobook. If not this is one book that I will surely carry forward to January, Christmas or not.
Summing up, I realize I have picked eight books! This is more than what I normally read a month. But most of them are short and light-hearted books. Besides, I have quite a few audiobooks. So lets me how much I complete in a month.
What are you planning to read for Christmas?
Are you going to pick any one of the above-mentioned books? Let me know in the comments.
Happy reading everyone!!
