Thanking the Superheroes of the book blogging community

When I got the email for TheWriteReads Appreciation, I was excited beyond limits. TheWriteReads team has done so much for us book bloggers. Here is a chance, to tell them how grateful we are for all the work they do.  Thanks, to the creative people who came up with this idea.

Once I started writing, I realised, what am I going to say about the TWR community, that my amazing fellow bloggers won’t?

The scheduling, follow-up and co-ordination,all that work , which needs to be done to bring together a community of bloggers is beyond my comprehension. I run to the finishing line just to post a single review for those book tours. I can’t even imagine the scale of dedication and passion it requires to run all these things in such a smooth manner.

Fact is, I don’t think I have anything different to say. That’s how much we are all united by the efforts of TheWriteReads gang and Dave. When they first approached me for joining a blog tour and the retweet thread, I had no idea it would become this big. I didn’t start a blog with an idea of making friends and finding a like-minded community. It was supposed to be an outlet for my own thoughts. Yet, there are more than hundreds of people who like the same things as I do. The beautiful thing about the community is that they all appreciate one another. And so far, the response I have received from this community has always been positive and supportive. I feel included despite being a person who hasn’t been in this community for that long.

My blog stats have always received a huge boost every time I had an interaction with the TWR community. Now, there is more to this than just a stat or the even the gift card I received from them (Which I used to buy another book obviously!). The number of interactions we have everyday, matters. Even if it is a simple Like for a tweet, it shows that someone out there is seeing your work. That quantification not only boosts your blog, but also gives you immense confidence. It gives you visibility in this vast ocean of online content. Which is why, TheWriteReads team are the Superheroes of the book blogging community.

oh noo, it was taken from an old email list. And there was the issue of keeping it all secret. Sure, you can do one. can you give me your twitter handle. I’ll ask them to add you to that group. and do add the tag #TWRAppreciation when you share the post. 🙂
