Dear Bookbugs
It is the National Reading Day in India and here I am jumping at the chance to give a quick little update on my reading life.
The WWW Wednesday meme was hosted by MizV at A Daily Rhythm. It is now revived by Taking a World of Words.
This is a simple meme where you have to answer the three W’s of a reader’s life.
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
And then link the host’s blog to your post and, if possible, leave a comment in theirs.
1)What are you currently reading?
Currently I am reading the NetGalley e-ARC of The Near Miss by Lily Joseph. As the name suggests , the main leads in this one keep missing each other by a mile or minute throughout the story. Honestly, I am at 80% mark, and it is getting a little bit frustrating. I will soon share my complete review once I am done with the book.
2)What did you recently finish reading?
I finished reading The Fury recently. This is the third thriller from Alex Michealides and unfortunately this is my least favorite of the three. The story is about this celebrity former actress who invites her inner circle to a getaway in a private Greek island. The story is told in an unconventional manner. However, the execution didn’t land quite well. It just took the unreliable narrator trope to the extreme and at some point you don’t really care about the twists. However, the ensemble cast and the atmosphere gave me a Glass Onion vibe. Since I’m already done with this one, the detailed review will follow soon.
3)What do you think you’ll read next?
I am planning to read Agatha Christie’s The Secret Adversary for my online book club next. This is the first book in the Tommy and Tuppence series. So far our book club has read three of her books. All of them bang on. Which is why, I want to go into this as blind and as possible. Hopefully, I enjoy this one as much as the previous ones.
Those are my current reading updates. I hope you enjoyed reading about them. Let me know in the comments, what book are you planning to read this month?
Happy Reading Everyone!!
