WWW Wednesday | 17 February 2021

Dear Bookbugs,

It is time for another WWW Wednesday!! This is my first WWW Wednesday in 2021.

The WWW Wednesday meme was hosted by MizV at A Daily Rhythm. It is now revived by Taking a World of Words.

This is a simple  meme where you have to answer the three W’s of a reader’s life.

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

And then link the host’s blog to your post and if possible leave a comment in theirs.

1)What are you currently reading?

Currently I am reading Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. I have heard such good things about Kristin Hannah books and I have always wanted to start reading her books. But they seem like the hard hitting types, so it took me a while. With the Netflix series coming out, I really needed an excuse to binge watch a show. That’s how I picked up Firefly Lane. It is a decade old book when you think about it but a lot of the things in the book are beyond time. Like the bond and friendship, the way we struggle , stumble and find ourselves. This one does have a few trigger warnings though. So, if you are thinking about picking it up or binge watching be sure to do your research.

2) What did you recently finish reading?

A book that I recently finished reading would be Bad Habits by Flynn Meaney. This one, I read for TheWriteReads blog tour with Penguin books. It is a YA contemporary coming of age book. The book talks about feminism and choices as one develops into his/her/their own person. You can read the detailed review of the book here. This might be a good pick for a book club because it brings a lot of current issues on the table.

3) What will you read next?

The next book that I am really looking forward to reading soon is The Dog Share by Fiona Gibson. This is a NetGalley e-Arc that I got invited to read. It is basically a contemporary romance novel that follows this main character Suzy Medley who is going through a rough time in her life. Then she happens to stumble upon this adorable dog named Scout. The dog falls into her care and suddenly Suzy’s life shifts. She meets new people, strangers are talking to her – all because of Scout. But then, she meets someone who probably needs Scout as much as her.

That’s all I know about the book. This is a second chance romance featuring an adorable dog. That sounds like a sweet read to me. I will let you know my thoughts once I finish this one.

So, there we go. Those are my current reading stats. January was a highly productive month for me. February has been slow so far, reading wise. I am hoping to catch up in the second half. Let’s see. Let me know your thoughts in the comment sections. Have you read any of these or do you wish to read any of these books? I can’t wait to hear from you.

Happy reading !! 🙂
